Meet our amazing team!
Kelly Bushey
Director
For Kelly, the creation of Connected Circles is a life-long dream and journey coming to fruition!
Long passionate about teens and young adults with challenging behavior, Kelly has years of experience that began with a Master’s Degree from UVM in Special Education with a concentration in Emotional Disturbance. She has advanced learning in trauma-informed practices and leadership training. She holds licensure as a Superintendent, Principal, and as Special Education teacher and served as the Special Education Director of a local school district for over 10 years.
When Kelly isn’t actively advocating and supporting the students she serves, you will find her on the water in her kayak and/or spending time with her teenage daughter.
Krista Metivier
Connector of Social Resources / Administrative Assistant
Krista blends her desire to serve others with her years of administrative experience by offering tangible resources to those who have experienced challenges. Her knowledge and experience of trauma-informed practices and Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Studies: Trauma & Society help her provide needed support in a manner that is practical and empathetic.
For self-care, Krista spends time in her flower gardens, napping, watching the antics of her backyard chickens, and laughing with her husband and two sons
Pierre Delfausse

Pierre enjoys skiing, tennis, guitar, and philosophy in his free time.
Erin Wakefield
Social Studies / History Teacher
Erin grew up a Military “Brat” and has lived all over the world. Her love of history and the past is a part of her upbringing on military bases and walking and exploring so many of the battlefields of the Revolutionary and Civil Wars in different States. Erin studied History at the George Mason University along with Special Education. She has spent a year abroad in Australia. Traveling gave her a since a freedom in her younger years and she has since married a dairy farmer husband and placed roots in West Brookfield. She has 4 children and loves anything to do with sports, being outside in nature, playing her drum set, watching movies and just enjoying family time playing card games and board games.
Acorn Swiggum
Hearthkeeper / Food Program Director
Acorn has a passion for connecting people with a passion for life through food. They hold a Bachelor of Social Work degree and spent many years supporting youth as a peer and in youth-led spaces. Prior to joining Connected Circles, Acorn hosted food education and cooking events for their local communities. They love bringing these two paths together to help prepare young people for a lifetime of nourishing themselves and others through cooking.
